During Breast Cancer Awareness month, IntelliRoll® is joining the fight against breast cancer with the launch of their newest foam roller – FLEXY. FLEXY is the third model and joins the FIRM and FLEX released in August, 2016. FLEXY is slightly softer than the FLEX, smaller in diameter and pretty in pink. It is a perfect self-care tool for everybody.
IntelliRoll® is known for its patented, form-fitting foam rollers designed to fit the natural curves of your body. IntelliRoll®’s mission is to help everyone to move better and live better.
The creator, Dr. Sevak Khodabakhshian (AKA “Dr. K”), a chiropractor and sports rehab specialist, lost his grandmother, Lucy Hadadian, to breast cancer this year. Early intervention could have saved her life. Dr. K and IntelliRoll® are proud to partner with National Breast Cancer Foundation to help support women battling this disease. “Grandma Lucy was one of the greatest inspirations in my life. This is a small way of giving back in honor of her life,” says Dr. K.
Taking care of our own health and managing stress is more important than ever. Studies on foam rolling have shown it to release tension, reduce pain and improve the function of our bodies. IntelliRoll® has created an online education platform called Body Fix University™ where individuals can get access to a library of self-care videos including the Pressure Release Flow™, a spine-care and daily recovery system.
“Pressure naturally builds up in our body throughout the day, so it made sense to create a system to release it. Othewise, this pressure eventually manifests into some form of injury whether cumulative or acute. Just as dentists have trained us to take care of our teeth on a daily basis, it’s our mission to help people take care of their spine preventatively on a daily basis.”
Improving women’s health was the goal of launching FLEXY. Being a softer and smaller roller, FLEXY helps women of all ages gain the benefits of foam rolling. We are honored to partner with NBCF for their commitment and professionalism in helping breast cancer patients.
